The South Indian Association popularly known as SIA is a reputed and old Institution which was established way back in 1948 in order to maintain the identity of the Tamil populace in Dombivli in the social, cultural and educational spheres. Subsequently, due to the natural growth of the city and to cater to the needs of heterogeneous population, the association upgraded the Tamil Medium School to English as the medium of learning.
Due to natural growth and the vision of many eminent personalities, The SIA College of Higher Education was established in the year 2010.

The S.I.A. College of Higher Education, a Tamil minority institution located in Dombivli East, has been contributing to the field of education since 2010. Over the years, the college has achieved notable milestones, including reaccreditation with a B+ grade by NAAC and the conferment of autonomous status in 2025.
