Purpose of the Activity:
1. To introduce the basics of research and its importance in academics and professional
fields.
2. To familiarize students with various research designs, tools and techniques.
3. To provide hands-on training in data collection, analysis and interpretation.
Activity:The Research Committee has scheduled a Research Skill Enhancement Workshop on Research Methodology on August 21, 2025, at 8.20 am, in response to the need to improve the research abilities of recently enrolled B.Com. students. The goal of this workshop was to give participants a thorough grasp of the concepts, strategies and applications of research methodologies so they could complete academic assignments, dissertations and future research projects.

Report of the Activity: Dr. Nitinkumar M. Patil, Assistant Professor and convenor of the Research Committee, the S.I.A. College of Higher Education, Dombivli (E), was the resource person for the workshop. Initially, he discussed about concept of research and its significance in the academic field. To introduce the basics of research and its importance in academics and professional fields was the main objective of the workshop. By giving relevant examples in day-to-day life, he inculcate the importance of research among students. He also discussed the framework of research, covering the introduction, objectives, Methodology, sources of data, results and discussion, findings, suggestions, conclusion, and literature review. A question-and-answer session was conducted followed the workshop and the workshop ended
with a vote of thanks.
