Alumni Activities 2023-24

Name of the Event: Alumni Meeting

Venue: The S.I.A. college

Purpose of the Activity:

South Indian Association Student’s Alumni Foundation has conducted first official Alumni meet on 13th April, 2024 at 4.00 pm. Principal Dr. Padmaja Arvind addressed the alumni students and motivated them to actively participate in the college development activities.

Following points were discussed in the meeting.

Ms Nimishika Manikantan , Treasurer of Student’s Alumni Foundation briefed about the registered Alumni Foundation and motivated the alumni to be active member of the alumni foundation.

It was decided to organise some academic sessions in the year 2024-25 by the college alumni.

Fun activities were also organised for the alumni.

Meeting ended with the refreshment and vote of thanks

Beneficiaries:
Total 55 Alumni students across all streams attended the meeting.

Name of the Event: Orientation for FYBAF and SYBAF Students by BAF Alumni

Date: 9-9-2023

Time: 11.00 am

Venue: The S.I.A. college

Purpose of the Activity:

Alumni of BAF department Ms. Mahalakshmy Ganesan and Ms. Jyoti Chaudhary, were invited to orient FYBAF and SYBAF students about the BAF Programme and to share their experiences regarding college placement assistance and current their employment, on 9th September 2023 at 11 am. Both have guided students about the following important points.

They highlighted the importance of BAF Program with reference to employment opportunities in industry.

They also insisted students to participate in the events organised by college as it helped them lot to improve their personality and social skills.

They explained the importance of enrolment for short term certification courses offered by the college and suggested all students to take initiative to enrol for the same.

They shared their experiences regarding job search, interviews, current working culture, and academic prospects during employment.

Beneficiaries:
Total 90 students attended the orientation in which 38 were male students and 52 were female students were present.

Name of the Event: Orientation for FYBCOM Students by BCOM Alumni

Date: 9-9-2023

Time: 7.30 am

Venue: The S.I.A. college

Purpose of the Activity:

Alumni of BCOM department Ms. Amisha Pithadia was invited to orient FYBCOM students about the BCOM Programme on 9th September, 2023. Amisha has talked about the following important points.

She highlighted the importance of academics and the overall grade for venturing into higher education as well as job.

She explained the importance of particiation in various college committees and how they help to mold once personality.

She stressed on enrollment for short term and certification courses offered by the college.

She highlighted the importance of supporting the BCOM degree with other professional degrees like CA, CS etc for better job opportunities in future.

Total Beneficiaries:
Total 100 students attended the orientation in which 46 were male and 54 were female students.

Name of the Event: Orientation to SYBMS Students by BMS Alumni

Date: 27-2-2024

Time: 1.00 pm

Venue: The S.I.A. college

Purpose of the Activity:

Alumni of BMS department Mr. Bhagyesh Joshi was invited to orient SYBMS students about the BMS Programme on 27th February, 2024. Mr. Bhagyesh spoke about the following important points.

He highlighted the importance of academics in job as well as career.

He explained the importance of extracurricular activities is shaping their personality and thus motivated them to participate in college committees.

He stressed on enrolment for short term and certification courses offered by the college.

He highlighted the importance of supporting the BMS degree with other professional degrees like MBA, He elaborated on Finance, HR and Marketing perspectives.

Beneficiaries:
Total 98 students attended the orientation in which 42 were male and 46 were female students.
